Jayme Moorman My love for design began as a young child, influenced by my grandmother, a stylish, graceful and beautiful woman inside and out. I have memories of her picking me up on the weekends and going to look at model homes and chatting about what we loved or imaging what we might do different. After having a child of my own, I woke up to how truly toxic our homes and work spaces were. All the materials and product designs that I loved were made without the thought of how they would affect not only the people who live with them but the air we breathe the water we drink etc. I knew this was my calling to blend my love of design with supporting a sustainable future for generations to come. This led me into building my own sustainable home as well as continue my education in Interior design and get certified in green building. When I am not in the studio creating, I am usually practicing yoga, going on bike rides, heading up to Venice Beach (Abbot Kinney to be exact) to get inspired, going to San Francisco green festivals to check out the new eco finds or at home gardening.
Cindy Courson I have always loved architecture and design; how things are built and how they are admired. While growing up in Orange County, I owned a Flower and Event Design Studio located at the LAB in Costa Mesa. This is where my love of vintage and modern design flourished. After graduating college from CSULB receiving a Bachelors of Art, Interior Architectural Design and Fine Art, I was fortunate to have worked for HOK, giving me the foundation for design and what construction processes it takes for an idea to become a reality. After moving to San Diego and starting a family, I began working for SDA partnership, where I cultured my sustainability knowledge by developing Going Green – a LEED qualification program for Volvo Cars of North America. Through my experiences, I realize development and progress are important – but I feel it should always be done in the most thoughtful and efficient way with regards to our environment. When I am not designing or being creative, I am designing and being creative with my daughter. We love bike riding to the beach for inspiration, and making any trip to nature or the city an adventure of appreciation!
